JOB PROFILE/JOB DESCRIPTION
Assistant Project Officer, Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise Ltd.
Salary Details: £17,000 per annum
Job Term: Full Time
Appointment Type: Fixed Term Contract, till March 31st 2021
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise Limited, Bolsover, Chesterfield
Responsible to: Countryside Officer
a. To support Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise team deliver day to day conservation and woodland management work in line with the project plan.
b. To assist with the planning and delivery of the work aspect of individual programmes for service users.
c. To assist in promoting the work of the Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise team.
d. To assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, plant and vehicles used as part of the woodlands team.
e. To directly supervise adults who have a learning disability in appropriate activities related to activities of Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise Ltd.
f. To ensure all team members work to Health & Safety guidelines.
g. In regard to Social Services to be aware of who to contact if there is problem at any time of the day.
h. To understand how day services for vulnerable adults operates, awareness of Social services procedure and protocols logs and documentation.
i. In regard to countryside services to be aware of who to contact for each area and whose responsibility it is.
j. To assist service users to access further related training activities as required.
k. To undertake any training associated to the post.
l. To assist in supporting team members on working residential trips including support with personal care, where appropriate.
m. Assist with maintaining security, health and safety, fire safety. Ensure the building is safe and secure at night.
n. Assist with the repair, maintenance of machinery and recording where appropriate.
o. To assist in supervising volunteers when on site.
p. To liaise with parents/carers and other agencies when required.
q. To work flexibly e.g. evenings and weekends
A car user allowance is attached to this post but it is possible for the allowance to be converted to other forms of transport where there is a requirement to undertake travel as part of this post
Due to this post having access to children and /or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
